In addition to his duties at Grin Pediatric Dentistry and Orthodontics (previously known as Comfort Dental Kids), Dr. Nate serves as Pediatric Clinical Consultant and Team Leader for Sonrisa Immaculata, a non-profit organization that regularly travels to Guatemala to provide free dental care. In his spare time, Dr. Nate enjoys playing basketball, snow skiing, playing music, and listening to podcasts.

The Professional Side
Dr. Nate was born and raised three hours northeast of Denver in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. During his childhood, he and his family enjoyed many vacations to Colorado.
Dr. Nate earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2008 from the University of Nebraska College of Dentistry. After dental school, Dr. Nate completed a one-year residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry from the University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Dentistry. He spent the next eight years of his career in private practice in Omaha and Denver. During this time, he developed a passion for treating children’s dental needs, so he decided to return to school to further his training in pediatric dentistry.
In 2019, Dr. Nate completed a pediatric dental residency at the world-renowned Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the University of Iowa. Dr. Nate became board certified by the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry in 2021. Upon graduation, Dr. Nate, his wife Leslie, and their dog Raja moved back to Denver.
