Meet Dr. Adrian De Moya
DMD
From Florida to Colorado
Dr. A grew up on the shores of Fort Walton Beach, Florida, and—by his own cheerful admission—is a transplant “contributing to your ever-growing traffic.” Before starting a family, he and his wife explored every state to decide where they wanted to put down roots. Colorado checked every box, and they’ve loved calling it home ever since.
Education, Experience & Advanced Training
Dr. A earned his Bachelor of Science and Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from the University of Florida, graduating fourth in a class of 95. He went on to complete his Certificate of Orthodontic Graduate Study at the Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis, where he treated children and adults with braces and Invisalign, worked on the cleft lip and palate team, and completed multiple orthognathic surgery cases.
A board-certified orthodontist (ABO), Dr. A has published research in the Journal of Periodontal Research and the Journal of Oral Rehabilitation. He has completed more than 5,000 Invisalign cases for children and adults, lectured on clear aligner treatment to dentists and orthodontists, and volunteered on dental mission trips to Guatemala and Jamaica.
Creating Confident Smiles
Dr. A’s mission is to give every patient a life-changing smile. To him, orthodontics is the fun part of dentistry. As he likes to say, “We don’t give shots, just good vibes and pretty colors for your braces!”
Having been a child who was nervous about dental visits—even with his own mom, a pediatric dentist—Dr. A understands how patients feel in the chair. His favorite part of orthodontics is watching confidence grow as each smile transforms. He believes you’re never too young or too old for orthodontic treatment and that everyone deserves to feel proud of their smile.
Life Outside the Office
When he’s not creating beautiful smiles, Dr. A enjoys spending time with his wife, who is also an orthodontist. Together they love snowboarding during Colorado winters and spending time outdoors with their five dogs—three Golden Retrievers and two long-haired Dachshunds—who join them for hiking and swimming adventures whenever possible.
He’s also a fan of all-you-can-eat Korean BBQ, enjoys gardening and birdwatching, and has already planted eight trees. In his downtime, he and his wife are always ready for a friendly game of Super Smash Bros. He’s also slowly learning Spanish, with many of his bilingual patients teaching him something new at every visit.
