Meet Dr. Hae Min Song
DMD
A Journey from Guam to Pediatric Dentistry
Dr. Song is a Korean American who was born and raised on the small Pacific island of Guam. Determined to help address health disparities in Guam and other underserved communities, she set her sights on moving to the United States to pursue higher education after high school.
Education & Pediatric Dentistry Training
She earned her bachelor’s degree in dental hygiene from the University of Pittsburgh before going on to receive her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Tufts School of Dental Medicine in 2024. Dr. Song then completed her pediatric dental residency at Children’s Hospital Colorado and is a board-qualified pediatric dentist.
Advocating for Every Child’s Smile
Dr. Song connects easily with families who want better oral health care for their children, and she sees advocacy as an important part of her role. The community that raised her, as she puts it, shaped her into a curious, compassionate, and dedicated dentist—and pediatric dentistry is a field she cannot wait to contribute to.
“I may not be able to eliminate disparities in dental care on my own,” she says, “but I can certainly advocate for improved access to care, resources, and education.”
Throughout her career, Dr. Song hopes to use those qualities to improve quality of life in her hometown and in underserved communities wherever she can make a difference.
Life Outside the Office
Dr. Song came to Colorado for her residency and decided to stay for the state’s 300 days of sunshine. Outside the office, she enjoys playing golf and tennis, and she loves traveling to Asia whenever she gets the chance.
